Just Artemis here! Regarding one of the most ridiculed opinion I've ever seen.

Read this post and tell me this isn't stupid in any way? If you can convince me, I might take back what I'm about to say.
I like Harry Potter and Twilight equally. I'm not clouding my opinion.
This girl is complaining that everyone says Harry Potter is so much better than Twilight. She is obviously letting her obsession cloud the facts.

1. I don't know why she is complaining about swearing when throughout her whole post; there is swearing. The f-word is everywhere. She uses *** to block out her first "swear" words. Like Bloody Hell. Is that really swearing compared to everything else? Sure it is rude, (so is B*tch which is apparently in the last book. I can understand why she used the * for that word but Bloody hell?) but it's better than saying f-ing hell, isn't it? It's british. It's politer than what we Americans have come up with. I understand the part where she says little kids read this stuff and there is rude things in it.
But please, Breaking Dawn (part of the Twilight series) has Edward and Bella doing the nasty. How is that even better? It's like Miley Cyrus going rogue. Little kids watch/read/listen too.

2. Violence? Do we really need to discuss the similarities with Twilight? When James attacks Bella? The werewolves? The Volturi? Please, it's all violent. So to speak, both are equally violent to an extent.

3. Torture? Isn't that the same thing as violence? James is torturing Bella. C'mon! The bite she gets is just torture.

4. So apparently everything British utterly sucks? America is totally better? Please. Get your facts straight darling. If anything, everything British is better than America. Everything is better than America. Lmao. It's true isn't it? America is where your taxes are so high, that you can't do crap. In Canada sure they have free medical care and stuff; but taxes. Wheeew, amazingly we still have to pay. Also all the pollution that is here. The content of racism, or even everything.... Even in History America is horrible!!! The depression (really wasn't America's fault), slavery etc. What the hell is she talking about??

5. If you were British sweetie, you'd be saying the same thing about English (US or Canada versions). Don't trash before you have the facts right. You probably are using all this "slang" that no one can really understand you without their own slang dictionary. Also, once again with the swearing. Keep it to the down low with the vulgar dear. Kids could be reading (:

6. Funny accents? Why do you have a funny accent? Before you say you don't have an accent, oh trust me you do. Everyone has an accent. It's called an American accent.
I also think you are the only person on this planet who hates the British accent. It's cool to be able to hear a variety of pronunciations, no? Otherwise the world would be extremely boring. It's like racism. You don't like the way someone's voice sounds is like judging someone by their skin colour or the way they look.
The movies are amazing. I'm not even a huge fan. So don't accuse me of putting my "love" of Harry Potter over Twilight.
I liked the Twilight movies too but Harry Potter's graphics and everything were so much better. There is no right or wrong way to talk when it comes to accents. If it's the grammar and pronunciation of the only way possible to say something. Then yes. But that is hardly a solid point.

7. Excuse me, but Emma Watson is one of the prettiest actresses I've ever seen. Her character Hermonie(sp?) required her to have "frizzy" hair. Even at that; why are you judging people by their appearances. I'm pretty sure you're not the prettiest spoon in the drawer. Are you really that insecure to be dissing people to make yourself feel better? Everyone is beautiful for who they are not just what they sound like, or what they look like. It's how they act towards others and the way their soul is. That is what makes someone beautiful or pretty.

Dumbledore isn't freaky...or creepy. His beard is cool and once again; that is what was required of his character. Oh and by the way just saying: no offense to homosexuals btw doesn't mean anything when what you actually said is supposed to be offensive to a homosexual. It's like saying: You're so ugly. Oh, but no offense by the way.
Men can wear dresses. They used to wear dresses back in the day and in cultures around the word, they wear certain clothing that are like dresses.
In some places if you wear pants or shortish skirts/dresses or even t-shirts/tank tops etc. they would be offended and grossed out too.

8. You just described Twilight honey. May I bring up James again. Oh and vampires...werewolves etc. The Volturi is hardly realistic.
A group of vampires that control the vampire world from the human's eyes so no one knows they exist.
That is why there is a genre called: Fantasy.


These are just some of the reasons your opinion is stupid.
Well this is my opinion of yours. So I guess I can't really say it's stupid. I just think it's morally wrong. You know....for everyone. (:

So apparently all Harry Potter fans are rude...hmph. That makes sense just right after all you have said. Riiight.

Rant One

Artemis:

Awkward moments, who doesn't hate them.

Like the awkward moment when your parents ask you something that was originally a lie and you are standing there for five minutes trying to figure out what that was from.
Or the awkward moment when your mom or dad is doing the dishes and you slip your plate into the sink.
Probably the worst one is when your parents are mad, and you have more news to "break to them" that is about ten times worse. Like "Ugh, well I broke the lamp..." And they say "What?!" and are fuming over it for like ten minutes. "How did you break the lamp?" one of them asks.
You chuckle nervously..."It crashed into the flat screen..."

Yeah...not such a good idea. :D

Anyways, another thing I hate is when people reply with a blunt: k or Mhm or even Ya/Yea. I just find it really annoying. Please, just say Okay, or yeah or even respond in full! It only really bothers me when I type out this extremely long message and they're like, Ya.

Stubborn people. Honestly I am one of them...but stubborn people just really make me mad. I tell you one thing, please go with it. Instead of going...yeah but! Sure I listen but the people that usually go, YEAH BUT...is usually wrong. Like one of my friends, let's call him Percy. My partner Athena probably knows who I'm talking about.

Now to wattpad.

I don't mind the people who are polite and demanding, just the rude ones ;D

I love making covers for everyone's books. But when it comes down to the point where the request is: Blue eyes, blonde hair, wearing a black shirt and a blue skirt, holding a cell phone with her boyfriend who has shaggy blonde hair...okay I guess you get my point. It's really difficult to do that....sigh. I'd be looking through photos for HOURS if I tried and I'd probably get NOTHING. D:I like considerate people though. Like this one person said: Oh, would it be possible if you could make me a cover if you have time? Take as long as you need.I like that person. Her cover was one of the most favourable and fun one I had made.

Anyways, something else I despise...and then I'll give Athena the spotlight ;D
I read this super long story once on wattpad...and the author wrote it like this.

So, as I was getting ready whilst I held onto my phone whilst calling my husband....

URGH! Every few words...whilst...whilst...whilst. Oh dear-- that drove me INSANE. The only reason I stuck to it was because it was a good story...
Oh the things I do for a good plot and story these days...it's simply amazing. LOL

Okay, okay, stop complaining Athena, now it's your turn! ;D

-Silent Moments. Have you ever had that moment where your parents want you to play the silent game in the car? Where you can’t speak at all and it’s really hard? It really sucks when that happens and you’re trying to hold in a laugh, a cough, a sneeze, or a hiccup. For me it’s a cough, I try to be as silent as I can but after 5 minutes of tiny coughs, I burst out into a coughing fit. And then you just get yelled at again, Ugh *Face Palm*

-Mountain Biking Mishaps. My parents are OBSESSED with mountain biking, and there’s nothing wrong with that because it’s REALLY fun. But what about those accidental mishaps? Or those bugs that bite you every five seconds? I went mountain biking not that long ago, at Albian hills and my friend fell. She had a HUGE gash on the side of her leg and a bruise that turned purple as soon as she got it, and when we found her, her legs and basketball shorts were tangled in her handle bars and she was sprawled on the ground. I walked back with her and the bugs were constantly biting at us, or as my friend said ‘Eating us would be more realistic’. So remember guys when you go biking don’t panic and bring bug spray *itches arm* DAMN!

-Comma misuse. As mentioned in our first blog, Arty and I here are Wattpad users, and it bothers the HECK out of us when we read unedited work. But what bothers me the most is when there is comma misuse. Like every two words people put a comma in their sentence, for example ‘Bobby slapped, Melissa, in the, face, really, really, really, hard.’ I mean I just want jump through the computer screen and slap them in the face. Well actually I’m not that violent so I just want to erase it all and start over.

- Two words- Severus Snape. I have a few words to say about Snape- don’t get me wrong, Snape is one of my favourite characters and in my opinion he should be Harry’s father, but well... Oh my gosh can the man ever finish a sentence without pausing for dramatic effects? Like ‘they might think your.... *Glares at Harry*... *Waiting*........ *Still waiting*...... Up to something.’ And does he have to be so scary and cryptic all the time? And defence of the dark arts?  I know you finally got it but you should’ve stopped while you were ahead, didn’t you get the hint after like 6 replacement teachers and not one of them were you? I mean come on if they really wanted you for defence of the dark arts, they could’ve replaced you in potions in one second. We all just thought you were setting a goal at first but now it’s become an obsession! Also, what’s with the ‘I’m gonna make the wizards and Voldemort believe I follow Voldemort but I’m really not’ crap like man PICK A SIDE.

Hello so, I'm Amber, but you can call me Artemis.


So, my partner in crime here doesn't wasn't her name mentioned so let's call her Athena. And while we have the nicknames a-go I added my nickname Artemis, as well. So she's not feeling TOO left out.


We're both part of Wattpad.com and if you are too, you know that there are plenty of stories that are so horrible with their grammar and spelling and just their cliche's in general--no offense of course--this is just so that we have somewhere to rant. (PS. We also don't want  Nadie_Rae from wattpad thinking we're posers haha)


But this rant is not just about wattpad.com but also about real life. You know that stupid person that bothers us every so often. So, if you are reading, don't get offended. Nothing offensive is intended. I just wanted to get that straight before we continue.


Anyways, so if you know us in person...er...well this is awkward. I'd advise you to walk away if so. Though that just convinced you to keep reading. Oops. ;)


Either way, this is our rant. if you think you are going to be offended even though none is intended, walk away as well. We don't want you to get mad.


This a shared Blog. So one day it could be me, Artemis and then the other day it could be Athena, my partner in crime. Well, we'll mark down the difference for everyone to see, but don't worry if you don't see it or if you miss it, you'll probably tell the difference in our speech. No offense Athena. haha.
